As 47,800 girls across the country gather to celebrate 100 years of Canadian Guiding, local guide units in Colchester County have come together to present a special exhibit at the Colchester Historical Society Museum.

“The Planters were among the earliest English-speaking settlers in this area,” said Mr. Scott Armstrong. “In 1761, they set about re-establishing their lives on this rich farmland, and we benefit to this day from their hard work. In the two and a half centuries since then, the soil has remained rich and our history has been even richer, thanks to the diligence and determination of the Planters.”
TRURO – For too long, the Colchester County Historical Museum has been “undervalued” and the time has come to change that, participants of an open house were told yesterday.
TRURO – In yet another effort to bolster rebuilding efforts in the downtown core, a plan is in the works to redesign the Colchester Historical Society Museum.
