Volunteers are needed for our first annual Built Heritage Tour. On the weekend of June 4 and 5, three historic Truro homes and one church will be open for public viewing, and we need many people to act as tour guides in each of these properties. The tour will take place from 12-5pm on June 4 and 5, with a special tour Thursday June 2 for participants at the Provincial Heritage Conference which is being held in Truro.
As a tour guide you will receive training and all necessary information about the property and its history, as well as a thank you party and a discount on a home tour ticket.
The Built Heritage Tour is being organized by the Colchester Historical Society, with money raised supporting a Built Heritage Grant Program. You don’t have to be a member of the Society to volunteer—anyone with an interest and a desire to contribute to community pride is welcome. Please send your name and contact information as well as the times that you are able to volunteer to the Colchester Historical Society at 895- 6284 or by email through our contact form.
