"Grist: Putting the Muse in Museum" Lunch + Learn with author Linda Little

June 03, 2026, 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM

Join author Linda Little for a Lunch & Learn presentation as she recounts how her historical novel, "Grist", was born in the Balmoral Grist Mill where she worked for many seasons.

In addition to short readings from her novel, she will examine how narratives built on the past shape our understanding of where we came from and where we are.

Her presentation will also explore the assumptions made and the subsequent stories told about women's place in history.

Linda Little is a history buff and the author of three novels including "Grist." In addition to her work at the Nova Scotia museum, she has taught at the Agricultural Campus and now works part-time as a baker.

Bring your lunch, refreshments provided.
