Our Heat the Building Luncheon will be on Nov 13 at 12 noon at the Truro Firehall Community Room. We will be serving lasagna, salad and dessert. Eat-in or take-out options are available, and plates are $16 a person. This year we are partnering with the CEC Career Path Program and Scotiabank. Edith Standen and the Restitution of Looted Art.” Dr. Kirrily Freeman will present Halifax-born Captain Edith Standen who helped safeguard and return the European masterpieces looted by the Nazis during the Second World War.

After a few busy weeks of installations and renovations, the Historeum will be open for regular hours (10am-12pm/1pm-4pm) starting Tuesday, October 20. The Office and the Archives will be open for business! The main exhibit hall is still a work in progress, but you are welcome to come in and take a “sneak peak” at our exciting updates!
