In this talk, author Jerry Lockett traces the origins of storm forecasting and examines Saxby’s curious ideas. He also considers the unusual circumstances that made the Saxby Gale in 1869 so devastating.

The grand opening of an exhibit presented by local 4-H groups will be Saturday August 3rd, 11:00am at the Colchester Historeum. The exhibit is in celebration of the 100 years 4-H has been active in Canada.
Wednesday afternoons, 1-3pm in the North Garden of the Colchester Historeum. Enjoy scones and homemade jam with a selection of dainty sweets. $6 per person includes admission to the Historeum.
