Join David McKillop, Friends of the Little White Schoolhouse Association president, as he offers a brief history of the museum building, highlights of its artefacts and displays, as well as information about the archives as they relate to the mission and mandate of the museum. He will illustrate this talk with pictures from the museum’s archives and other sources.
Come and learn something about the white building, a designated Truro Heritage Property, that has stood near the corner of Arthur and Kaulback streets on the campus of the NSCC (formerly the NSTC) for over 43 years, as well as some significant people in the early development of education and teacher education in Nova Scotia, such as Sir John William Dawson and Rev. Dr. Alexander Forrester.
